Getxophoto, Foam Talent Call, Reframing Family: Feminist Perspectives Through the Lens Residency, Michel du Cille Fellowship, un/fund 04 – Four New Ways To Undo, and Revela’t Open Call are among the opportunities we selected this month.

Getxophoto 2026 Open Call

Deadline 6 November / Entry fee €22

Getxophoto is looking for proposals that use photography, installation, video, actions, digital art or any other means of visual expression that address the idea of a RESET – in other words, experiences of change, reworking, recycling and reinvention; of life cycles and celebrations; of individual or collective stories of resetting. A system reboot in any of its many forms. Three selected artists will exhibit their work at the 20th edition of the Festival, which will be held from May 28 to June 21, 2026. Additionally, they will receive a €500 artist fee as a Festival participant, accommodation for two nights during the Opening Week, and travel support up to €150.

The jury is composed of Pablo Berástegui (Cultural Producer and Director of La Casa Encendida), María Ptqk (Independent Curator, Cultural Researcher, and Curator of Getxophoto Festival), César Gutiérrez-Aguirre (Independent Curator), and Lea Tyrallová (Editorial Coordinator and Project Director at La Fábrica publishing house).

Foam Talent Call 2026

Deadline 9 November / Entry fee €30

Foam Talent seeks emerging artists to nurture and support through its programme. Selected artists receive a portfolio published in Foam Magazine's Talent issue (published in Spring 2026), along with career-building opportunities. Throughout the programme, participants will connect with a network of experts and peers, including curators, thought leaders, writers, and artists. Their work will be showcased across multiple Foam platforms, including an exhibition in Amsterdam, a travelling show, and features on Foam's digital platform. Furthermore, each year the work of one selected artist is added to the Art Collection Deutsche Börse, one of the most important collections of international contemporary photography. Additionally, one artist in the full program will receive a €1,600 stipend.

Reframing Family: Feminist Perspectives Through the Lens Residency 2026

Deadline 7 November / No entry fee

Goethe-Institut invites female-identifying photographers based in Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, or Tamil Nadu (India), who have prior work or a strong interest in themes of family and/or feminism. Participants will explore how family structures can both support and conflict with feminist ideals, asking whether family itself can be a source of feminist empowerment. The residency will bring together selected artists for a three-week collaborative program in Budapest, Chennai, or Sofia.

The residency will take place from 19 January to 7 February 2026, offering participants space, mentorship, and production support to develop new photographic work that will later be presented in a collective exhibition in Sofia, Bulgaria, in June 2026.

Michel du Cille Fellowship 2025

Deadline 14 November / No entry fee

Created to continue Michel du Cille's commitment to in-depth visual storytelling, the funding supports documentary photographers pursuing long-term projects that illuminate contemporary issues with empathy, integrity, and narrative depth. The fellowship is open to professional photojournalists who are legally authorized to work in the United States, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Minor Outlying Islands. Applicants residing or working outside these jurisdictions, as well as students, are not eligible to apply. One recipient will be awarded a US$15,000 grant to complete their visual documentary project. Alongside this financial support, the awardee will be paired with an NPPF coordinator who will provide monthly guidance and feedback throughout the project’s development.

un/fund 04 – Four New Ways To Undo

Deadline 25 November / Entry fee €10

un/fund is an international not-for-profit platform focused on promoting under-represented visual artists by celebrating creative vision and growth through creation, connection, and support. They are looking for international visual artists with less than seven years of industry experience. Selected artists will receive opportunities such as a fully-funded four-week artist residency at NUMEROVENTI in Florence, Italy; a published photobook, designed and distributed by Libraryman Books; a year-long, dialogue-based mentorship with visual consultant Katharina Uhe; the opportunity to develop or reframe a current project or their broader artistic practice; and direct funding of €10,000 for their proposed project.

The jury is composed of James Beattie (Director of Photography), Chaumont-Zaerpour (Photography duo), Martino di Napoli Rampolla (Creative Director and Founder of NUMEROVENTI), Tony Cederteg (Designer and Publisher, Founder of Libraryman), Lillian Wilkie (Writer, Editor, Publisher), Katharina Uhe (Art Director, Visual Consultant, Writer, Editor, and Researcher), and Adam Rouhana (Artist and Photographer, and un/fund 2024 Prize Recipient).

Revela’t 2026 Open Call

Deadline 24 November / Entry fee €20

Under the theme 20 Ways To Escape, Revela’t invites photographers to explore routes of escape–real or symbolic–from whatever confines us: routine, memory, borders, digital noise, even our own image. Literal or metaphorical, intimate, social, political, poetic, or formal interpretations are welcome. Submitted works must be created with analog photography or photochemical/alternative processes.

Three projects will be selected to be produced (or transported) and exhibited at the 14th edition of Revela't, taking place from May to June 2026 in Vilassar de Dalt, Barcelona, Spain. Plus, the 1st Prize recipient will receive up to €1,000 in production and/or transport support, and travel support up to €150. The 2nd and 3rd Prize recipients will each receive up to €500 in production and/or transport support, and travel support up to €100. All of them will also receive two nights of accommodation, a Full Pass + Brunch, inclusion in the program, and meetings with professionals. Additionally, all submitted proposals, whether selected or not, may be included in a public digital projection at the festival's main venue throughout Revela't 2026. The jury is composed of Isabel Elorrieta (Cultural Manager), Fernando Peracho Murillo (Valid Foto BCn Gallery Director), and Arianna Rinaldo (Independent Curator and Educator).

The Chico Review - Photobook Retreat and Publishing Prize 2026

Deadline 16 November / Entry fee $25-$65

Organized by Charcoal Book Club, The Chico Review is a Photobook Retreat that takes place over six nights at Chico Hot Springs Resort, near Livingston, Montana, USA. Eighty selected applicants will be invited to spend the week with over twenty-five photographers, bookmakers, gallerists, museum curators, and photobook publishers. One tuition scholarship ($5,450), two half-tuition scholarships ($2,675), and three partial tuition scholarships ($1,500) will be awarded. Attending artists receive ten formal reviews by speakers and reviewers and take part in artist lectures, panel discussions, peer reviews, Q&A sessions, and additional evening programming during the event. One grand prize recipient will be awarded the Charcoal Publishing Prize, with their work to be published and distributed worldwide by Charcoal Book Club. The jury is composed of Tony Cederteg, Alejandro Cartagena, João Linneu, Reginald Moore, Aron Morel, Myrto Steirou, and Miwa Susuda.

Other Deadlines

Nikon Fotobus Grant 2025 / Deadline 1 November / No entry fee

The grant supports the continuation of an existing project from any genre, welcoming photographers who are either enrolled in a full-time university program in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, or are not older than 30 years and reside in one of those three countries. Three photographers will be selected to receive grants of €5,000, €3,000, and €2,000. Plus, each of them will receive a Nikon camera.

Between Bridges Residency For Visual Artists 2026 / Deadline 2 November / No entry fee

Open to professional individual artists, artist duos, or small groups working collaboratively, the residency will take place in Berlin, Germany, from July to December 2026 and includes a working phase as well as a one-month exhibition or public presentation. The selected artist will receive a €1,500 stipend and the opportunity for studio visits with art professionals from the Between Bridges network. An additional budget of €5,000 is allocated specifically for the exhibition or presentation.

Barcelona Experimental Photo Festival 2026 Open Call / Deadline 3 November / Entry fee €20

Held in Barcelona from 2 to 26 July 2026, the Experimental Photo Festival invites applications from artists using creative, experimental, alternative, or hybrid photography. Twenty selected creators will be part of a solo exhibition at one of the following three city venues: Centre Cívic Pati Llimona, Institut d'Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya (IEFC), or Experimental Hub Barcelona. The opportunity is supported by a comprehensive benefits package, including an €800 cash grant, up to €250 for production/installation support, a free festival pass, €150 in course vouchers for Agora School of Experimentation, participation in an international conference, and priority for official accommodation.
