Dummies & Books From FOLIO 2025/26

The exhibition presents the prototypes of photobooks developed during the fifth edition of FOLIO – PhMuseum Online Masterclass On Photobook Making.

Over the course of eight months, a group of 13 participants worked under the guidance of Nicolas Polli, photographer, graphic designer, and founder of the independent publishing house Ciao Press, with the goal of completing a body of work and making it ready for publication. The initiative represents an opportunity to reflect on how to transform photographs into coherent narratives within the physical format of a book.

As part of the Photobook Mania 2026 program, this exhibition features photography books by Ege Tascioglu, Federica Carducci, Julia Bohle, Justina Leston, Kate van der Drift, Manu Gruber and Tim Gassauer, Marge Westreich, Raul Guillermo, Stefanie Lagenhoven, Stephanie Schwiederek, Vivian Poey, and Yvette Monahan.

The event program includes a guided tour of the exhibition, during which some of the artists will present prototypes of their photography books created during the online Masterclass.
