Virtual Insanity

Virtual Insanity is a continuously ongoing project since 2019. The name “Virtual Insanity” is from a song by Jamiroquai in 1996. Thematically the lyrics are concerned with issues like overpopulation, human genetic enhancement, eugenics and ecological collapse.

In the series of works, I try to create scenes that refer to future imagination though my own experience. I hope that by constructing different scenes and plots, to present things seem unreasonable in normal scenes. During the era of tons of images information, I attempt to bring out how people’s imaginations are inspired by the stimuli in daily life.
