An installation of vintage press photographs inspired by Tom Stoppard's play "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead".
This is a proposal for an installation of over 100 vintage press photographs pinned to the wall to produce a loose narrative inspired by Tom Stoppard's absurdist tragicomedy "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead". The play centres around two minor characters from Shakespeare's tragedy "Hamlet", and explores the effects of fate versus chance, and the randomness of life as time moves toward death. The installation of unique, separate images would be customized to the exhibition space, and would behave like a type of "archipelago" - each photograph behaving individually, yet linked together in a chain.
