The "winterreise" series brings a photographic travel of the mood .

"winterreise" wants to narrate human emotions that are both eternal and very relevant in our actual times : uncertainty, a sense of exasperation and longing for a better world, unfulfilled dreams, estrangement and the feeling of going nowhere, a touch of melancholy, but also the search for quietness and beauty, hope and consolation...

"winterreise" invites to reflexion and contemplation.

"winterreise" brings a variety of landscapes, interiors and other scenery with very selective use of light and color. Light and color can indeed be most meaningful when hardly present. The photographic viewpoint is that of the traveler : no blurred images or content that is difficult to understand but images drawn with the preciseness of a scalpel : as postcards of the mood sent to the beloved one.

“winterreise” refers to the song cyclus of Franz Schubert.
