For me, these photographs were a means of finding inner peace. Combativeness is a part of our human identity; does our humanity depend on our ability to overcome challenges?

What’s shame for the mind is beauty all over for the heart. Can

there be beauty in Sodom? Believe me, for the vast majority of

people, that’s just where beauty lies--did you know that secret?

The terrible thing is that beauty is not only fearful but also

mysterious. Here the devil is struggling with God, and the

battlefield is the human heart.

Statement

For me, these photographs were a means of finding inner

peace. Combativeness is a part of our human identity;

does our humanity depend on our ability to overcome

challenges? Overcoming weaknesses and conquering

obstacles that exist the camera aided me in this battle.

Using 135mm film in point & shoot automatic cameras

forced me to get as close to my subject as possible and

illuminate things as far as their small flashes allowed.
