transcenDANCE

TranscenDANCE navigates time, relationships, and perception. Juxtaposing intimate fragments with elusive imagery, the photographs mix humor, performance, and layered textures to spark open-ended associations and possible narratives.

TranscenDANCE explores the passage of time and relationships, engaging with broader concerns of perception, dissent, cultural identity, subcultures, and transcendence. Set against the backdrop of media overload, consumer culture, and institutional decline, the work juxtaposes intimate visual fragments with elusive, seemingly generic imagery, hinting at allegories and internal connections beneath the surface. The photographs offer a structured yet humorous examination of contemporary visual culture, highlighting tensions and overlaps between Italian and American ethos. By embracing multiple photographic genres and performative approaches—along with dynamic framing, tight cropping, and layered textures—they form loose constellations of signs that invite free associations and open-ended interpretation.
