TIES

The place where we are born and raised, our blood ties, as well as those we make by choice, are a medullary part in the creation of our identity. In these ties we support each other, we recognize, or we deny, and it is these that we call: Family.

This project is the exploration of the family ties of different guys with very different origins and stories, who deliberately or by chance find in music, design and modeling a platform to discover themselves, at a time when which the stereotypes of beauty and sexuality are blurred to make way for new languages.

The acceptance or rejection experienced by each of the family members is a constant process of transition, cut, assimilation or transgression that very profoundly allows changing the social paradigm of entrenched stereotypes.

“…Humanity has to stop seeing beauty as a mold.”

Ixchel Paz

“… When you have a child, you always have expectations towards him; however, you have to remove yourself a little from the place and give entrance to what he wants”.

"... When this beauty established in society is transgressed, it opens doors to the human, any subject can enter."

Mónica Jiménez (Emiliano's mother)

"...Modeling is a dress-up game...in many media, diversity is not on their agendas."

María González

"... I always wanted to experience myself in another way, in another place, where I felt better and find myself...".

Marvin
