Things Left Behind by the Sea

A quiet study of the coastline after the season ends. Empty cafés, chairs and beach structures hold the trace of recent use, while a brief human presence appears only as a small interruption in an otherwise deserted landscape.

Things Left Behind by the Sea looks at a coastline after its social rhythm has faded. Empty cafés, chairs and beach structures reveal how public space shifts once the season ends, holding only traces of recent occupation. A brief human presence appears in one image, not as a subject but as a small interruption inside an otherwise suspended landscape. The project examines this transitional state, where places are neither active nor abandoned, and where the arrangement of objects carries the residue of human use. These scenes reflect on the quiet tension between function and pause, and on the understated narratives that remain when the shore returns to stillness.
