the valley

"The Valley " is a search for clues after the flood disaster in the valley of the Ahr and Erft rivers.

In the night from 14 to 15 July 2021, a region in western Germany as well as parts of Belgium and the Netherlands were hit by a flood disaster after days of rain.

Especially the Ahr valley in the Eifel as well as the Erft and its tributaries became raging torrents and destroyed cities, roads and railway lines.

In Germany alone, more than 180 people lost their lives.

The work "The Valley" deals with the remains, finds and aftermath of the flood.
