This series explores the fragile space between bodies, where intimacy exists but never fully settles. Moments of closeness remain unresolved, tracing a tension between touch and distance, connection and separation.
This series explores the fragile space between bodies, where intimacy exists, yet never fully settles.
I photograph moments of closeness that remain unresolved: a hand that almost reaches, a body that leans but does not arrive, a connection that is felt but not secured. These images move between touch and distance, between presence and withdrawal.
Working with the human body as both subject and landscape, I trace emotional geographies — islands of solitude that attempt, and often fail, to connect. Even in moments of physical intimacy, there is a quiet separation that persists.
Rather than depicting isolation as absence, I am interested in the tension of proximity — how closeness can hold within it a subtle form of distance.
In this work, the body remembers connection, but remains, in some way, alone.
