The Quarry

For the last year i've been returning to the Bexhill Quarry on the outskirts of my hometown documenting the people and ecosystems within it's parameters.

A mother swimming with her teenage son... Wisteria in bloom... girls vaping under the pines...a full moon...three generations of Japanese women... a collapsed road from the February flood...a Bundjalung woman knitting...a girl getting a homemade tattoo from a friend.

The work is an observation of human nature/interaction against a singular backdrop while simultaneously bearing witness to the subtle and obvious ways in which the landscape shifts and evolves, blooms and dies before our eyes over time.
