From Rocinha to the stage, a samba queen has big dreams.

Tati Rosa lives in the biggest favela in South America and is a self taught dancer and teacher. She is already the queen of a samba school but now she dreams of being a queen of the whole carnaval of Rio de Janeiro. With her petite frame, on stage Tati Rosa takes up a lot of space - her big costumes and dance style would never have you guess her humble home. She exudes glamour, poise and grace with not a hair or feather out of place. In her home, she lives a simple life yet working hard everyday towards her dream with pure professionalism. She is proud, kind and extremely modest despite all she has already achieved. This is an ongoing project I am doing to follow this talented dancer on her journey to fame and fortune.
