"Someone Else's Dream," came to be. It's amazing how unexpected moments of joy and connection can come from difficult times.

"Story"

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world seemed to come to a standstill. Lockdowns and social distancing measures left people feeling isolated and disconnected from one another. But even in the darkest of times, there are moments of light that remind us of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit.

For my group of friends, that moment of light came in the form of a simple ski mask. After months of being apart, we were finally able to gather together in a house for a day of laughter and connection. I had brought along my camera, and when one of my friends jokingly put on the ski mask, an idea was born.

"What if we all tried on the mask and got our picture taken?" one of the friends suggested. "We could each imagine ourselves as someone else, a character from our dreams or fantasies."

And so, one by one, we donned the ski mask and posed for me. The results were magical. They transformed into a different character, embodying the traits and qualities they admired or aspired to. Some became superheroes, while others became rock stars or mysterious strangers. I captured each transformation with skill and creativity, using lighting, composition, and editing to enhance the dreamlike quality of the images.

What started as a simple joke had turned into something much more profound. In the midst of a global pandemic, we had found a way to come together, to connect, and to play. The photographs captured not only their individual characters but also the joy and camaraderie of the group as a whole.

The project, which I titled "SOMEONE ELSE'S DREAMS," is a testament to the power of imagination and creativity to transcend difficult circumstances. In a time when the world seemed uncertain and frightening, we were able to find a moment of light, of hope, and of possibility. And through our photographs, we invite us to join us in that dreamlike world, to imagine ourselves as someone else, and to see the world through new eyes.

Ultimately, "Someone Else's Dream" is a celebration of the resilience and creativity of the human spirit. It reminds us that even in the darkest of times, we have the power to create moments of joy, connection, and beauty. And it encourages us to keep dreaming, to keep imagining, and to keep finding ways to come together, no matter what challenges we may face.
