A selection of images from "Some Things Last a Long Time”

The work is about my experience losing my best friend and the many questions left unanswered years later.

I still think about what was hidden in plain sight and wonder what more could have been done. Questions still lingering, and knowing those answers will likely never be found. I struggle with these unknowns, and the multilayered experience of grief and loss, processing my thoughts through photography.

I know I’m not alone with these types of emotions, and that the feeling of loss is a part of life. I hope the work has an amount of ambiguity to it - allowing others to draw parallels to their own experiences and form their own narratives.

It takes time to experience the world and live with these feelings. These emotions have shifted over the years as I come to terms with some of them. I imagine for myself, the meaning of the work will continue to shift with time as well.
