Solitary Garden and Room Night

What the works depict is a psychological struggle to “kill” the self that had been held captive.

I killed my spellbound self to overcome the ties that bound me. This was a mental attempt, but it required a space from which there was no escape from reality and a time of silence. In a closed room, cut off from information, entertainment, and relationships with the outside world, the silence only inflated my psychological anxiety. It also destroyed the healthy spirit that had been maintained by force.
