SÖHNE (engl. SONS) examines the fluid transitions between staged self-presentation and authenticity in male identity. A conflict that can also be found in photography: the question of authentic depiction.

David Nils Müller‘s motifs in the work are permeated by stereotypes, social codes, and metaphors. Through his photographic influence, he amplifies the tension between image and its interpretation.
