Slav Gaze

"Slav Gaze" reflects on Eastern European culture on social media. There is a tendency in the slavic countries to post pictures of luxurious meals, to show how well you are dressed today, or show what you bought. Whilst many try to feed their eyes with fancy-looking objects - why are the surroundings often being overlooked? I've heard a psychologist once say that such tendency takes place, for people in the East crave this beautiful image so much because of the actual "ugliness" that surrounds them. In my opinion, it's the beauty that is being ignored and unrecognised yet by many. I tend to question the views on the "beautiful" and "ugly" concepts through this project.
