silence before the (fashion) storms

This project comes out from fashions playful scene, where many years working behind the scenes at international fashion shows has created narratives that in this book moves between realism and artistic poetry.
I have always been interested in creating the (im)perfect reality in my photography, and am inspired by the fashion photographers of the 1990s who created a genre within snapshot realism. Seeing fashion as a lifestyle, and daring to mix it with contrasts that represents youth, subculture and art brings this nerve into my storytelling, which I resonate with. For me the many years I worked behind the scenes went faster and faster, and I missed the silence before the storm, the many quirky moments and mess, the black & white colours, and the rough edge, which was how I originally started out as a photographer. I revisited my backstage photography archive and edited it with an analogue, DIY approach and am now creating this dummy that I would love to make into a book. I still need more text added to the pages telling who or where we are, and I am curious to see how far I can take it. I am working to have the double amount of pages from what you see in the dummy.
