A photographic series in the Pampas plains where the everyday turns surreal. Sheets float like ghostly presences, stripped of their domestic use, disrupting the landscape and becoming symbols of absence, enigma, and poetry.

The photographic series, taken in Salto, Buenos Aires province, delves into the vastness of the Pampas plain to explore a visual language charged with strangeness and poetry. The landscape, flat and endless, so often a symbol of identity and belonging, here becomes the stage for the unusual: a territory where the everyday transforms into a surreal gesture.

The sheets, lifted by the wind and stripped of their domestic function, emerge as ghostly presences—bodiless entities that float and drift across the fields. Their soft fabric, in bright, artificial colors, breaks the natural monotony of the plain, generating tension between the intimate and the immense, the familiar and the unsettling. They are veils that cover the invisible, metaphors of absence, figures that escape logic to inhabit a dreamlike dimension.

Surrealism reveals itself in this displacement of roles: what belongs to the private space of the bedroom bursts into the open space of the Pampas. This rupture of the expected establishes a parallel universe, where the sheets seem to dance, to transform into autonomous creatures, bodies breathing without flesh, luminous shadows inhabiting an otherwise immutable landscape.

In this visual play, the Pampas plain becomes more than a stage: it is both counterpoint and echo, an expanse that amplifies the mystery of these floating forms. The work invites us to rethink the relationship between material and imaginary, visible and veiled, real and dreamed.

Thus, the series constructs an open narrative oscillating between nostalgia and delirium, between the intimate memory of a domestic object and the expansive power of the territory. The sheets are both absent bodies and vibrant presences—symbols of a surrealism born in the Pampas, where the everyday becomes enigma.
