Police Yoga is a performative photography series exploring wellness as a site of discipline, where relaxation, labour and political subjectivity become increasingly entangled.

Police Yoga is a performative photography series created in collaboration with performance artists that investigates the blurred boundaries between wellness, labour and political subjectivity.

The project examines how contemporary practices of self-care and self-optimization shape the body as a site of discipline, transforming social and political conditions into matters of individual responsibility. Rather than understanding wellness as a private or liberating experience, Police Yoga approaches it as a cultural and ideological practice that regulates how we perform care, productivity and resilience.

Presented as grainy green lithographic prints, the photographs evoke archival and mass-media aesthetics, positioning the body simultaneously as a political actor and an object of control. Oscillating between satire and sincerity, collective ritual and individual performance, the series reveals the tensions between care and discipline, relaxation and labour, inviting viewers to question the political implications of contemporary wellness culture.
