Taking a close look at depictions of nature in the wilds of the urban environment and the safety of framed canvases.
What had begun with an interest in murals in the spring of 2018 blossomed as I traveled in Germany, Spain, and the United States over the next several years. Especially in close-up, it was interesting to find various points of tension in testing the limits of abstraction and identifiable representation.
