A vertical floor is a wall, and a wall with a hole is a portal.
We exist in a designated portion of the world where space is divided and constructed for human convenience. In between these segregated spaces are portals, which serve as gateways from one space to another. In the series One's Door is Another's Floor, I observe the portals that are activated when our occupied space is reimagined as flat miniatures. Defying humanity's innate fascination with functional structures, the visual construction of the portals transcends utility, existing solely as ephemeral sculptures.
