One Year Up Close represents each season of 2021 in Western Maryland, United States. It has been a year of social isolation due to the pandemic and also a year to recognize the small things that sustain us. Little, life affirming things. Winter ice and holiday lights. Moss sprouts and waking dandelions. Flower buds drinking rain. Seeds soaking in golden sunlight. Light and Color. Growth, change and goodbyes. As we renew ourselves in quietness, the fresh sprouts will once again appear.
