Mutazioni Resistenti - a project about Bologna

Manifesto

Mutazioni Resistenti represents the pilot launch of a larger and more complex project, made up of places, people, stories, conflicts, communities, ties.

The theme is the City, where continuous transformations are changing the way people live.

The exhibition starts from a study on a national scale, thinking of a series of places where urban transformations are more evident: a traveling exhibition that starts from Bologna.

Bologna represents one of the Italian cities par excellence that coexists with the paradox of tending towards a change which at the same time it opposes, through forms of resistance linked both to its inhabitants and to its places.

The exhibition tells of the "Resistant Mutation Phenomena" that feed on change and contrast it, but already at the very moment when citizens and citizens, formal and informal groups activate this resistance, they too inevitably begin to change.

The photos represent the result of years of field work, in particular in Bologna, where this participatory observation path began, by closely analyzing the phenomena and photographing them in their being manifest or evocative.
