A story about medical clowns Isabella and Lesha
Moon and Pod are the names of medical clowns Isabella and Lesha. They visit hospitals, children's hospices, and neuropsychiatric institutions every week to help patients, parents, and children take their minds off illness. Together with the kids, Moon and Pod play board games, sing to them, play the guitar, draw, and simply make them laugh. When needed, they listen, hug, and spend time nearby. In many cases, these are children with incurable illnesses — but if a person cannot be cured, it doesn’t mean they can’t be helped: distracted from thoughts of illness, made to laugh, and simply supported by someone’s presence.
