Mimamsa

Juxtaposition of focused details and soothing colours to form thought provoking compositions

Mimamsa is a Sanskrit word which when romanized translates to "Epistemology" (the philosophy of Knowledge).

A Vedic Indian tradition of self-reflection and critical investigation which encourages oneself to understand that the secrets of the world can only be known through understanding the secrets of one's own existence and self (introspection).

The photographs are macro shots with a very small area in focus although the whole of the composition could have been captured in detail; to acknowledge and to be at peace with the beauty around oneself but not to forget that to nurture others we need to see the beauty in ourselves first.
