Marina Levante

Along the coast of a Mediterranean island, boys spend their days between sea and sand. Swimming, waiting, playing and resting, their gestures define a slow summer rhythm shaped by heat, light and proximity to the water.

This series follows everyday life along the shoreline of a Mediterranean island. Moving between wide views and intimate moments, the images focus on boys who gather at the edge of the sea, spending long hours swimming, playing, resting and simply being together.

The work alternates between bodies and landscape, where stone, architecture and water create a constant backdrop. Light and heat shape the atmosphere, while time unfolds slowly through repeated gestures and pauses.

Rather than focusing on a specific event, the series observes a condition — a shared experience of summer defined by proximity, routine and the presence of the sea.
