Like a fairy tale told beside a brazier, stories of ghosts, enchanted places and memories of distant generations come to life.

‘Lucanian Suggestions’ is a long journey into the innermost part of Basilicata, to the most unnoticed borders of Campania.

Like a fairy tale told beside a brazier, stories of ghosts, enchanted places and memories of distant generations come to life.

The project aims to imitate a time when the rhythm was marked by events of metamorphosis.

A time that devours and is reborn, as described by the author Giambattista Basile, who through his research into centuries-old folk tales from Lucania and Campania, managed to find that union between the opposites of life:

the ordinary and the extraordinary, the grotesque and harmony.

The aim of this project is to rediscover a magical memory of an unvarnished southern Italy, seeking to recount hidden passages and elements that refer to remote cultures and pagan origins.
