"... it’s easier for me like that ..."

The project is about the facts and the feelings of a period of life, in which a question of gender identity and the following decision have implications on one’s own life and on the lives of loved ones.

Imagine you feel wrong in your body. You struggle for a long time with this feeling. And then, at a certain point in your life, after reflecting for a long time, you take the decision to change that. You decide to take all the steps necessary to match your outer appearance to your inner one.

But before that, life blessed you with a relationship and children. The relationship brakes down because of your decision, you have to leave the common house and your daughters. You get to see the kids only twice a month, and the kids do as well with their father.

After a time, a routine starts to set in and you get accustomed to it. But do you really do? And do the kids? Years are passing and you miss a great deal of the growing up of your children. And the children have less than a part-time father. The kids are becoming adolescents and one of them starts to partially turn away from you, because of the whole situation.
