A tactile exploration of early motherhood, revealing the weight of care, repetition, and exhaustion. Intimate images that blur the line between documentary and embodied experience.
“In My Flesh” explores the raw, intimate experience of early motherhood through a series of corporeal, tactile images.
In an era where parental life is often aestheticised or erased, this work offers a counter-image: one that is leaking, exhausted, tender, and entangled.
This body of work rejects distance and idealisation. It reflects a physical and emotional reality shaped by care, repetition, and the erosion of self-boundaries.
Through skin, weight, light, and gesture, the maternal body becomes a shared house — soft, tired, and profoundly real.
