The lack of photographic memories with my grandfather creates a void that drives me to create fictional images based on real moments from both my grandfather's life and my own.

Using family archive images, I construct memories using photomontage and collage. The lack of situations in which we both find ourselves together allows me to play with constructing false memories. The images will be playful in nature, revealing that they are superimposed images from different eras.

The project aims to heal the absence of my grandfather, recreating situations I would have liked to have experienced with him. The experimentation with playful montage has to do with interpreting the image I retain of what he was like in life and with some memories that have remained in my memory. Despite not having had a close relationship, I feel that many of his ways have left a lasting impression on me and that today they generate many questions and the need to reconstruct moments I would have liked to share with him.
