G-Book 女子冊
This personal photography project started in 2016 and has focused exclusively on women. Its aim is to document the diverse activities and appearances of women in Taiwan, presenting the photographs without retouching their appearance. I hope to encourage viewers to focus on who they are and to embrace the authenticity of diversity.
“Being perfect is unnecessary.”
There’s a girl who just dyed her hair orange, a couple of female artists holding an exhibition, a woman who spent many years finally completing a tattoo on her back, a girl who loves her shaved head, another who has no choice but to be bald, a woman pregnant with her first child, one who just got a new tattoo, and a girl I met in a mountain in Pingtung.
Ten years later, some have grown their hair long, others have gotten married; each person is experiencing life in her own way. By seeing them, I see myself. They are all shining individuals—this is a glimpse of the remarkable women emerging in contemporary Taiwan.
