'Florida' is a series of photographs exploring the ageing process and the retirement culture in the USA.
A portrait series revealing America’s traditional retirement culture and the contradiction/disparity’s that emerge in time between the ageing residents and their maintained pristine environments.
The promise of an idyllic, leisurely existence slowly achromatize to immobility and often loneliness. The external surroundings of these retirement villages remain white, manicured and immaculate, the interiors often telling a different story of loss, illness and idleness.
