Questioning who had the power to alter the natural order of social memory by organising the photographs in to the family album.
I became interested in power of narrative and I was intrigued by the fact that I, the daughter, the ‘child’, had the control of what was being photographed.
'Familiar', has evolved from this idea of exclusion, the photographs that never make it in to the family album, the moments in-between.
