Eternal

The project 'Eternal' examines metaphorically the passage we move through as life progresses and remnants of our past are indelibly engraved in ours's and our kinfolk's minds, respectively.

The images submitted look to our life long social and physical memories, moments that may challenge, excite and inform us as human beings. Each image contrasts and compares, capturing feelings and emotions, memories we believe are true becoming vague thoughts as the journey of time progresses and are either endorsed, replaced or forgotten by us and our kin. One certainty in our life journeys is that as time continues to tick by and the environment within which we exist changes we can only attempt to record what we believe to be the true status of our lives. For example sorrow and loss, joy and happiness, tranquillity and peace become analogies for how we see the world within which we connect to others and really live. The twenty images submitted here are suggestive in their view of lives lived, places visited, moments gathered, emotions exposed and journeys taken, respectively. They represent for me as a photographer the subtleties of the transitions one is exposed to as life contextually progresses. Landscape and portrait sized images are purposefully interwoven to punctuate these transitions.
