Doña Elenas Garden.
Elena moved to Puerto Rico from Hato Mayor, Dominican Republic. Today she is about to be 96 years old and still loves taking care of her plants. This day she wanted to show me her new vine of tomatos, I decided it was a great opportunity to take pictures of her before I moved out of PR. I grew up with her always having a gorgeous garden full of fruit and beautiful flowers. Unfortunately the garden doesn’t look like this anymore because of Hurricane Maria. Im glad I had the chance to document someone that has such an important place in my heart and the beauty in what they do.
