"Don't Stop Me Now" is a summerly, bold, and colourful fashion story starring Olivia Sang (BOSS Models). It's taking place in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa.

“Don't Stop Me Now” is a fashion series with model Olivia Sang (BOSS Models) photographed by Heidi Rondak. The wardrobe was styled by Philippa Crooks (Bird on a Wire). The hair & make-up was groomed by Norbert Cheminel (Kathrin Hohberg Artists).

The story was initially conceived and executed in early 2020 without any other motives than to create an aesthetic and colourful summer story. It was then chosen to be the cover of “GLOSS” Magazine Slovenia during a time when Black Lives Matters protests were happening worldwide (June 2020).

However, without the team's consent, a wrong complexion was put on the story when they printed “#alllivesmatter” across the cover photo. Apart from the unfortunate fact that photography and the work (of a whole team) behind it are oftentimes not valued by those who profit from it, this series turns out to illustrate white supremacy and the micro-aggressions People of Colour are forced to endure.

After confronting the editors and the public with it, after their apologies, and after several Slovenian journalists publishing articles on the issue throughout different news platforms – after all that, I feel that this fashion series and, first of all, our model deserved a better outcome.
