Dirty Feet evokes childhood — memories of the past woven into the life of the present. A shared summer, spent chasing rivers and tadpoles. A gentle way of remembering what I long to show my son, and the kind of wonder I hope he will one day call his own.

In Dirty Feet, I return to the landscapes of my childhood in Tuscany and the surrounding countryside to spend the first summer with my son, Diego. During those tender days with family and friends, memories resurfaced — along with gestures and habits shared across generations.

At a time when much of life unfolds behind screens, Dirty Feet imagines a different pace — an ode to slowness that brings us back to nature, to presence, and to the simple joy of being outside.

Dirty Feet is both a return to one’s origins and the beginning of a new adventure: fatherhood. Created with the hope of evoking feelings rather than telling a story, I invite you to sense — rather than interpret — the passing of a shared summer.
