These are some film photos I took during my trip to Nara this February.

The film I used included: Lucky SHD400 (NEW) @800 and Kodak Aerocolour IV 2460 @640.

I used a Minolta X600 camera with a Minolta MC 50mm f/1.7 lens to take these photos.

I shot a total of four rolls that day and ultimately selected 12 photographs. I had previously taken some photos using LK400 film pushed to 800, which produced higher contrast, but this set turned out very well. I suspect this is because the overcast weather in Nara that day softened the light, resulting in lower contrast.

Kodak 2460 is an excellent film; I shot two rolls this time, with the other one exposed at its standard 100 ISO. I wasn’t entirely satisfied with the results; at 100 ISO, the 2460 takes on a somewhat earthy, yellowish cast—I prefer the greenish tone it produces at 640 ISO, whilst also rendering reds with great intensity—see Image 1.

Enjoy these photos!
