In awe of the empowered energy of queer spaces, this photographic love letter acts as a visual insight into safer spaces within Berlin’s queer underground communities where ‘otherness’ is celebrated. 

The delicate intimacy of interaction between Dodd-Noble and her subjects remains deeply personal. A moment of radical queer acceptance between two strangers.

Immersed within queer events such as voguing balls, drag shows, queer festivals and parties, these images are un-staged, the moment exists just as it does, championing authenticity.

Working with synesthesia, Dodd-Noble illuminates the energy of the individual through colours that reflect their energy.
