Dakar is moving fast.
Constructions almost everywhere, more and more people living in it everyday, buildings coming off the ground faster than it takes to write this sentence.
The project @dakar_creators is an individualized mapping of the metropolis through the eyes of contemporary artists living in it. Everyone I interview is invited to take me to a special place, connected with their personnal/professional life.
Beyond discovery, it is about building a work of archive, to tell the story of people who lived here, built their identity, and developed an artistic practice.
This project is just as this city, in continuous construction !
