Corsica Studios Closing Party Series
March 2026
A lighting install for the Corsica Studios closing party series, Nothing Lasts Forever - a run of events marking the end of one of London’s most important underground venues.
The closing series brought together artists, collaborators and promoters who have shaped Corsica since 2002, with nights ranging from Hyperdub to Trance Party, Rupture, I Love Acid and lots more.
Corsica was one of the first clubs I went to in London and it’s tied to a lot of my early memories of the city. I remember sitting on the smoking area floor with a group of strangers, fast forward and they’re now some of my closest friends, who I’ve lived with for eight years. Being asked to be involved in the closing series felt like a full circle moment.
I was invited to install some of my handmade lampshades for the closing series in the smoking area - a constant throughout the years and heavily used part of the club (a very fun brief).
Throughout the series, the venue kept evolving. A highlight was transforming room 2 into the “Wigflex Arms”, a pub built inside the club featuring ooze lamps, a pool table and a TV. On another night, the smoking area was graffed by 10 Foot and Flash, alongside other site-specific interventions across the venue.
The project itself was intentionally simple, nothing huge or overly designed, just a subtle contribution to a space that meant lots to many. RIP Corsica x
