The work is an investigation of how humans treat other species in Asian countries that remains a chaotic civilization. The improvisational setup technique reveals the changing conditions of creatures subjected to monumental irony and petting.

Makoto Oono uses a variety of places, including animals, plants, fruits, fish, insects, everywhere as a test site, and is temporarily inserted until the end of photo shooting.

The living organisms, which is the key element to this process, moves in an unpredictable way that makes us human beings anxious.

An ongoing project involves visiting Asian countries, purchasing local creatures and capturing the local culture without falsification.

By arranging some mysterious artifacts into the composition to add an extreme “unbalance” of the meaning of what these components are, this could no longer be identifiable as “what this picture is”.

This approach collapses the meaning of the scheduled order, while at the same time filling it with cruelty and beauty.
