Cimarrona is the Female spirit that holds the African essence and expresses it in all forms of resistance against slavery and discrimination of blackness.
The project is documenting woman who keep ancestral and spiritual Afro-descendant practices in Ecuador, as an instrument of memory and cultural resistance of the diaspora in the Ecuadorian territory.
