Cafe de Colombia - "Los Escarabajos"

Tribute to "Los Escarabajos Colombianos". Farmers who rode bicycles through the Colombian mountains out of necessity, but now, these heroes get on their "Caballo de acero" and use it as their best tool to leave Colombia's name at the top of world cycling

Cycling in Colombia, more than a sport, is an outlet from the political and socioeconomic reality of the country.

It is an opportunity for the most vulnerable to dream and move forward, to move away from an armed conflict that has stained us with blood for more than 60 decades.

United as a country, under the same passion, cycling has allowed us to put aside, for a few moments,  (1)"el dolor de Patria*"  that we all carry under the shadow of the violence that stalks us wherever we go and that, unfortunately, identifies us as a nation.

This series is a homage to  (2)"Los Escarabajos Colombianos*". Farmers who rode bicycles through the Colombian mountain ranges out of necessity, but now, these heroes get on their (3)"Caballo de acero*" and use it as their best tool to leave Colombia's name at the top of world cycling.

2. Los Escarabjos Colombianos - That was the nickname that the Colombian cycling team got in the Tour of France for being the best ones at climbing 

3. Caballo de acero  - Coloquial way of calling a bicycle.
