BEHIND MY SCREEN

Behind my screen deepens into the remote documentation of everything that happens within a physical space in this period of confinement caused by COVID-19 around the world. Throughout a series of video conferences, I had contacted

different friends and relatives with whom I did not maintain stable and regular communication for a long time. Through their mobile devices, my interlocutors open a window to their homes, and allow me to enter into their context of life during

the pandemic for a few moments.

During these weeks of confinement, we are encouraged to have more open conversations and dialogues that most of us may have wasted in our normal life. Our communication has been delimited by a series of platforms that allow us to use

only two of our senses, sight and hearing. My photographs capture, in a consensual way, the most important moments of our interaction, communicating different aspects of how the confinement is lived. These are images that manage to speak for themselves. The protagonists are the emotions and reactions of my interlocutors.
