Anemone

“What is matter?” “What is my relationship with it?” “And how does that relationship evolve?” These are the questions that the author asks herself in this photographic research. The project begins with an autobiographical correlation of specific places. The material rocks are made of is changeable, sculpted by the wind and salt and is a witness, particularly in Sicily, of the passing of centuries and of different cultures, in a harmony that’s constantly rearranged and regenerated giving rise to ever changing and unrepeatable conformations. As a result of a personal process of observation and immersion within the matter, the author finally creates the very object of her own photography.
