I explored the medinas of six cities in northern Morocco, documenting daily life in their alleyways. Amid dust and chaos, I observed how local children played: marbles, historic tabletop football games, hide-and-seek, and more.

I explored the medinas of several cities in northern Morocco to document everyday life within them.

What immediately struck me was how, amid the chaos of the markets, along the most crowded streets, and in the poorest neighborhoods, children and teenagers always found a way to play.

In Western, more modern societies, we often struggle to feel content, and boredom easily takes over.

In the narrow streets of Morocco’s medinas, instead, I witnessed how even the smallest things are deeply valued.
