Aggy was a breast cancer survivor, she would not let anyone photograph her, although she used to be a fashion model and hang out with Francis Bacon in Soho, drinking. After her mastectomy she became a recluse. I used to visit her every week (even after her son and me split up) for many years, and she would cook for me and tell me the most amazing stories about her life. One day she agreed for me to photograph her. I wanted to be very gentle with the camera and I did not tell her what to do, I just let her be. She is no longer with us
